The Neurological Disease Foundation is committed to solving the mysteries of disease in the mind .... At the heart of the NDF, is the passion of Dr. Dale Schenk, PhD, who founded the NDF in hopes of assisting individual and post-grad neuroscientists as they pursue new appraches to treatment. Dr. Schenk's vision for the NDF was that it would build bridges between the researchers, treatment development communities, doctors and ultimately the population - in an all out effort to end neurological diseases. In the Foundation's short life, monumental progress has been made in building an online research comunity that is all ready producing research reports, public awareness and direct access population Alzheimer's and Memory Testing validation services. After four years of development, focus group testsing - which included interactive user interface design for vital sign/memory fitness testing record management services, The NDF has convincing data to support healthy population memory fintess testing (baseline) services - can make a great contribution to early detection and swift medical/treatment strategy adoption of the Alzheimer's disease symptom - mild cognitive impairment. Everything about Alzheimer's disease treatment has changed in the past five years - and the population (including doctors/care givers) generally are uninformed about the changes. Presently, the NDF is inviting the population, researchers, and treatment development groups to interact with one another - utilize the Memory Accessment Project, and, propel the Alzheimer's LifePlan public awareness and prevention support program - to build a dynamic online community - that ushers in the ending of Alzheimer's as we have known it. At Neuroscience 2004, in San Diego, the iBTV Production crew captured the entire NDF sponsored debate regarding a beta amyloid as a treatment plaform for Alzheimer's disease.
